RESERVATIONS:  Sorry, we do not accept reservations. Our patio tables can seat up to 4 people and our picnic tables can seat 6 people. 

ACCOMMODATION FOR LARGER PARTIES:   Unfortunately, we do not host private events at any time. Our lakefront patio tables are available on a first come basis.

PARKING:  Due to its historical, lakefront site, the Berger Park Cultural Center (Waterfront Cafe) does not have a parking lot. However, there is a cul-de-sac (@ Granville) on the south side of the park, which allows for ADA drop off. FYI- All of the North/South streets west of Sheridan Road are NOT residential permit parking so if you can find a spot, park there.

PAID PARKING OPTIONS: Shoreline Tower Condominium, located at 6301 N. Sheridan Road (one block north of Berger Park offers hourly public parking for $8.00 (up to 4 hours). Daily parkers must pay via credit or debit cards.

Street metered parking is available on Granville Avenue, as well as Broadway. 

Visitors may also choose to use the Loyola University's parking lot. To access this parking, continue north on Sheridan Road to Kenmore Avenue. Turn right on Kenmore at Loyola's main entrance and follow the signs to the parking garage.

DIRECTIONS | DRIVING FROM DOWNTOWN   Head North on Lake Shore Drive until it turns into Sheridan Road (be in the right lane as you approach Sheridan Road). Turn right onto Sheridan Road and keep heading North for eight blocks.  Berger Park is on the corner of Sheridan Road and Granville (at the stop light).  RED LINE TRAIN   Granville Stop | Exit station and walk three blocks east to the Lake.   151 or 147 CTA BUS   Stops right in front of the park at Granville Avenue and Sheridan Road.   BICYCLE   Bike racks are located throughout Berger Park.    

PRIVATE RENTALS   Sorry, we do not rent out the Waterfront Cafe facility at any time.  

If you are interested in having a wedding, reception, graduation, or other type of larger gathering, please contact the Berger Park District (773-761-0376) as they do rent their facility. Located next door to The Waterfront Cafe, this quaint historic landmark mansion features hardwood floors, original woodwork and antique light fixtures among other charming details. The mansion also boasts a magnificent outdoor space along Lake Michigan with breathtaking views. Located just minutes from downtown, this unique space offers many opportunities for special event and meeting rentals including three rooms that can be used individually for intimate gatherings or together for functions that can accommodate up to 100 guests. The Waterfront Cafe can also cater events that are held in this facility.
